Hey, is the 5k Rev limiter just a ECU thing? Not a Clutch thing? If I wanted a flash with 2 Step set at 6k I don't need to take a Restrictor out or anything?

Hmm, you still aren't getting it.

ONLY 05s AND 06s HAVE THE BUILT-IN LAUNCH CONTROL! 03s AND 04s DON'T HAVE IT!

You monkey!

The ECU controls the 2-step, but the clutch activates it with a little switch. The clutch restrictor is a separate item in the slave cylinder that makes our clutch not grab hard.

It the clutch restrictor why it bogs on my stock evo? I tired out the 2 step for the first time last night and it just seems to bog and then take off ... I feel like I can launch faster by not using it. Am I doing somthing wrong?

Here is what I'm doing:

1) Puting it in first & depressing the clutch fully
2) Floor the gas pedel and keep it floored
3) Pop the clutch and go

Don't drop the clutch so hard, slip it fast.
