I drive a G35X around as a daily. Its a great car we beat the **** out of it stop and goes all day. Its a dealership car so it dosent matter but me and my roomates take the same one everyday even jumped a damn curb in nyc (by mistake) at like 35 mph and nothing happed to it not even rim damage. But i will tell you this. If you want luxury then go with the g35x I think the coupe is use less . AND the G35X is actually faster from the light it hooks alot better. Good car. You dont see me driving long distance in my evo.

Let's get the obvious out...
- It's slower than an evo
- Doesn't handle aswell as an evo
- Doesn't take mods very well like the evo
Im sure the thread starter knew that, so why repeat what he basically know? If you read his post, sounds like he had a luxary vehicle, bought an evo... put 50k on it... love every 50k of it, but is ready re-switch to a luxary car again. So why the hate children? G35 is a very nice luxary car and reliable aswell. If you can get past the brembo/ oem brake issue... than you have very good car, not performance orintated like the evo, but still good nevertheless.

Regarding the m3 someone posted, it's also a $20k extra. New vs New.

Same thing happened to me. I was tired of throwing money into my car and making it faster, when there will ALWAYS be a faster car out there. It's just to damn addicting...

Your going to miss it if you buy a G35 or even a 350Z .... if your going to get rid of it you better buy something like a Audi S4
I had a 350Z and my evo puts a smile on my face every day that I drive it ... the Z didnt have that effect and I cant ever imagine going back.

I would look at the m45. When im done with my evo that will likely be the next ride......Unless for some strange reason i still crave power at which point ill opt for the CTS-v with the rubber dashboard and 400hp:-D

As far as modifying the EVO... I have already done MBC/ TBE exhaust/ air intake/ fidanza flywheel ACT clutch and I have had an SAFC sitting in my garage for about 6 months now, that I dont care to install even though I already soldered the harness to the SAFC. Just plug in at this point.
However, I also have a 93 mustang with about 375hp and am considering getting a blower for it. I dont need 2 cars to modify any more.
Also, as for the road racing and autocrossing... Been there done that, I stopped autocrossing after I rolled a car at Blackhawk Farms and I dont really want to get back on a track cause I get a little crazy and competitive.
I wanted a fun daily driver in the EVO and have grown tired of it but then when I drive it hard I remember why I got it.
I also feel like I am driving a car that impresses 12 yr old boys and I am not a catholic priest so I dont want that kind of attention.

Drive what you WANT and LIKE to drive, not something just because you don't see them every 5 minutes.
I never get why people care so much about what other people are driving.
Though I would vote for the IS as well.
Oh yeah, everyone and their mom has a G35 around here..so it's pretty played out.

You guys and your M3 , mercedes, audi I mean why luxury means to be in a car where your driving is comfortable and not much muffler sound when you are sitting inside. What I think is the best luxury car a very very cheap and by far the nicest next gen luxury car is the new civic sport coupe.

Another bit of my car history:
2001 A4
1993 325I
1991 Nissan Maxima
1989 Mustang GT
1992 Mustang LX notchback <--- flipped
1993 Mustang GT <--- still have but havent driven in a year
BTW I drive about 100 miles a day between work and GFs. I need some MPG so S4 is def out.
