Funny, I just drove an M3 for the fist time today. I drove a G35 coupe a while back, and for the money, Id rather have the G35c.

The M3 is slightly faster and handles better, but its definitely not worth the $20k+ premium. And I gotta admit, after driving an M3, I love my evo even more, especially considering how much those darn things cost.

The G35 a nice car man. Espeically for how much you pay. I would definitely consider getting one if I was in the market for something like that.

and I had a 2005 evo with SSL and then traded it in for a 2006 g35coupe with Navi. yes the car is slow, but its not dog. And if you get it with the rear active steer and sports suspension and 19's, the car handles awesome. Yes I miss the evo but this car is a totally different thing. its got the lux factor, but its still decent with 300hp. it fees good top end on the hwy and I can beat on it without worrying about warranty coverage. the car actually just doesnt break either (knocks on wood) I'll get another evo eventually, but never as my only car. in 18k my W/Pump blew twice, my drive seat cracked, along with other bs things. I love the G35 but i do miss my evo greatly.

I considered an M3 but the interior is gross.
Guess it got pushed back from the original reports, originally the production model was supposed to be shown at the NYAS and then be available mid year Keep in mind it sounds now like the G35C will be MY08, but it should be available next year.

I really appreciate everyones opinions. Its really funny that everyone, including me, is centered around the same cars... G35/350z/M3/EVO.

Any opinions or convincing arguments against a G????
if u want an Infiniti, cough up the gouda & get the M45. or you could look at a used E55 AMG. a 2001 BMW M5 wouldn't be bad either...

If you dumped a few thousand into your car and it doesn't feel any faster then I'm afraid that is just your own fault (you can easily increase the EVO's power by %50 by spending less than 2k). If all you care about is going fast in a straight line then yes I agree, getting an evo is a huge waste. There are tons of cars out there than can go just as fast as an evo only it will cost you many thousands less.
The EVO isn't luxurious however it is an incredible car (even if left stock) due to its straight line capabilities and cornering abilities, not to mention its great looks and useful 4 doors. However I have to admit the EVO isn't for everyone. The overall quality of build isn't that great (paint and interior sucks *****) and the ride quality can be a little rough at times, especially if you have an aftermarket suspension. So maybe when your finally too old to deal with all the g-forces pulling you in every direction its time to settle for something more "luxurious" and slow. But me? This car will be in my garage until I die. There are car people, and then there are normal people. Car people want performance and will pay any cost to get it simply because they are disgusted with the way a "normal" car performs. Its not always about racing.

Had the evo,,,, enjoyed it,,,,,, time to move on.

The whole MOD thing is worn out in my book. Go faster , be faster, beat this car, almost beat this other car....... need to get more mods to add power and beat that car I almost beat....... wtf?????????? why ,, what does this prove? And what are you lacking that you need to do this anyways??????? The only thing your doing is feeding the aftermarket suppilers hand over fist with mucho dinero,,,,, and there is no end in site. THEY HAVE YOU BY THE BAWLS, not me, grew out of this,,, after 3 yrs,, Im done.

I dont track my car,,,,, thought about it when I bought it,,,, street racing is gay,,,, dangerous and you can get your liscence yanked if you get caught..... Try getting to work the next few months without one.

I have dumped a few thousand into my car,,,,,,,,, dosnt seem any faster than when I first got it...... You get use,, really use to any added power....So all in all you just flush your money down the craper.

Go get another car and enjoyed it for what it is...... I for one have GROWN completely out of,,,,,"modding" my ride,,,,,

G35 coupe and 4 door very nice.
IS350 very very nice
BMW 3 series,,,,, looks great
Audi A4,,,, another great looking ride.
M35 awd,,,, my brother just got this and OMG the interor is to die for,,,, nice get up and go too.

So all in all, I have to say,,, you only live once and never know when your going to punch out. Drive alot of different cars, enjoy them all. For me I will never throw money at any other car I have as I did with the Evo.

Enjoy your next car search.......... I know I will when the time is right!!!!!!

You have good points and I cant argue any of them. But I did not start a thread to prove that i am not gay, simply for feedback from other EVO owners. I get bored of things quickly the EVO is just one of those things and I stated it.

Keep the Evo--what else can you drive on the road that feels like a go-cart!!!!
If you want comfort, get slightly less agressive tires.

Sorry my comment will be

I am personaly taking a moment of silence for you... Your soul has been lost and for this I take pitty on you.. I'm not saying that you should not feel the way you do.. I'm not even saying that you should want to MOD your evo.. But I do feel sorry for you.. I feel sorry because I have been buying, building and modding cars for almost 7 years. I feel sorry for you because you say that you have felt the same thing that I feel now but apparently somewhere you lost that need.. That adrenaline rush you get from staying up for 3 days straight to do a motorswap with buddies.. Surviving on a stale glass of brandi and old hamburgers because you ran out of charcoal on day 1.. The thrill of hitting the track just one more time and seeing that time board read 1/10th of a second faster even though you know this might be the last run this transmission can handle... Being a "car guy" means a couple of things to me:

1. My garage will always be at least half the square footage of my house
2. I will probably die broke
3. I am addicted and there is no 12 step progam to help.

I want to say one more time that I don't think that people "should" feel this way but if you have (if you own an evo I assume you have) and you lost that feeling then i truly feel sorry for you.. I hope I die in my car.
