And once again the EVO prevails.. EVO 1000, STI 1 (road and track)... Every test done with these 2 rivals show the EVO victorious, except one magazine. And people still try to say STI is better, dam

 

the sti is fun to drive.....you can throw it around and it will go.....but when it comes to real performance you dont want to car to be able to slide around and get tossed..... and here's the think....when 2 cars are soooo close....it comes down to problems....i hear the biggest problem sti's have are sqweaks.....we have bed paint and ehh tranny/transfer case.... i think you can drop the clutch on sti's...im not sure....i checked both out and the evo just suited me more...i dont keep a car for more than 2 years, but i do a lot of driving so the evo have a 60k warranty was the way to go...

 

But we wonder if the STI is really making as much power as Subaru claims. At the test track it took 5.4 seconds to reach 60 mph to the Evo's 4.9. It began to close the distance by the quarter-mile, though its 13.6-second run was still three-tenths of a second behind the Mitsubishi.

why do i get the feeling that when i read that article ive heard it on t.v. somwhere. I could swear ive heard jeremy from top gear saying the exact same things but i know its not from him. Any one else think they've heard that elsewhere?

they are making what they claim.....mitsu is making more than they claim...286 crank...but 260-270whp...hmmmmm doesn't seem liek 18% to me.. sti's are sweet not box of junk.....just a different type of beast...if i lived in a really busy city i would be driving an sti...little more jump

they took the facts and made valid points...i dont care who wins, just to know the difference....they both handle the same...sti has less roll.....evo is a little quicker, but the sti has a bigger block...sti saves a foot stopping and has a nicer interior...even though i dont think the evo's interior is bad at all....

 

wierd it is..month old too... i guess aol bought it or something

 

They just regurgitated facts that anyone can tell you, who cares.

 

well for someone who hasn't seen all the details its a good read, i enjoyed it...sorry it didnt make you bust a nut.....all i hear is who has more hp and who goes 0-60 and 1/4 mile faster and last is who's car can slide more....
