I'd personally recommend the Buschur Turboback with Magnaflow muffler. It is honestly only a little bit louder than the stock IX exhaust. It is lightweight, 3 inch all the way back, and I think will give you better gains than many other exhaust systems out there.
And no I have no affiliations with them, I'm just happy with the product!

ahahah lol yea i tried the whole quiet exhaust thing, i could only take it for about 4 months.. so i went ahead and got a nice exhaust and did it right...Perrin 3' downpipe Perrind 3" delete pipe with idiot sensor and a Greddy 80mm titanium catback exhaust....its so nice to be able to hold my entire titanium catback exhaust in one hand by my pinkey finger LOL!!!!! lets you know that you have just that much more of an advantage over the guy your racing :P.....achually i got a extra one for sale too lol!!, but im still a noob on the evolutionm forums though so i cant sell it yet, anyways my best advice to you isif you want people to be like "DAAAAAAAAAMN......." when you romp on it then go all out, but if you like the sleeper style then hey all the more power to ya bud, take care...lataaaa

Look for an exhaust with a big muffler. All small barrel type mufflers are loud imo unless you are 18 years old, then it sounds just like stock.
This guy has it right. Those are the quietest exhaust systems out there PERIOD that dont neck down to 2.5" anywhere. The RS-R ex-mag and Apexi WS are going to be the quietest and lowest profile because they come with black mufflers with a polished tip. From behind the car, they look absolutely stock. They are ideal because they make good power with stock sound levels at idle and most of the cruising range. If your looking for quiet, None of the other manufacturers other than those listed above are true 3" systems that are quiet.

I have the RSR Exmag and am happy with it, not too loud and stealth black.

It does neck down though. From the Cat it is a smaller diameter and inside the muffler it is a smaller diameter, most likely not 3". I did not measure it though I am sure it does neck down.

Noticable power gains though from the butt dyno!

If your looking for something pretty quiet I have the Buschur 3" with the magnaflow muffler. It sounds stock compared to the Buschur racing muffler. I also have the highflow cat rather than the straight pipe.

Taipan! Very quiet, but it does get a somewhat aggressive when you get on it, without any raspiness.

I don't know what the Tanabe touring looks like inside the muffler, but it does neck down at the cat. It's in my garage, still in the box. I haven't had time to unpack it.

Only thing is i don't see one thats flanged to bolt up to the stock cat.
I just took off the Buschur 3" w/magnaflow because it was still too loud. I now have the B&B a bit quieter, the RMR is quiet too, but the fujistubo(sp) would be the quietest.

Agreed. I have the Greddy SP2 and it's awesome.

You know if Greddy's exhaust are legal in California, they have to be very quiet.
