What company makes semi-quiet exhaust? Anyone own SuperSprint?
I'm a recent convert from the world of Audi and while I love my Evo... all the exhaust systems i've heard were very loud. I know its possible to get good gains while keeping the noise levels under control because when I was modding my A4, I got more HP with the exact same chip, intake, etc as a buddy's A4 on a dyno while i was running very quiet SuperSprint exhaust while he was running Borla which was MUCH louder.
I've been pricing exhaust systems from AMS and Buschur, which seem to be favored around here but i've been told both are really noisy. And living in Southern California.... it would be instant ticket time if i gave the car wide open throttle.
So just out of curiosity.... i checked out the website of the company who made my A4's exhaust, SuperSprint and they make Evo exhaust. I know they have excellent build quality and were given huge props by many magazines such as European Car and Euro-Tuner for their exhausts and headers. Does anyone here have their exhaust or have heard anything about it? Here is their websites info on it:

edit: I ran some searches on supersprint and didn't find much. I know they make quality stuff. Perhaps i'll be the guinea pig since i know a dealer who sells their stuff.

I'm in the same boat as you (looking for a quiet performance). I think your best bet will be with european companies, like the one you posted, as their noise ordances are stricter than ours.
I was initially leaning toward a Vishnu Signature series. There's a link to a webpage somewhere around here with a dozen different exhaust sounds.
BTW: those supersprints aren't very pretty are they

I am 37 years old and didn't want something that was too loud also. I have the HKS Hi Power and it is very quite. The few other older guys (at least among EVO owners) in the area have the same exhaust or the Anniversary version and are all happy. My only complaint is it has a big tip, 4", and I would prefer something smaller.

The tip is not my style.
I also checked out the Fujitsubo exhaust. And while its expensive.... it looks really nice. I called Kami Speed and they said its really quiet compared to most systems.

Greddy SP2, Apex-i WS, AVO, Tanabe Touring, RSR EX-MAG.
Look for an exhaust with a big muffler. All small barrel type mufflers are loud imo unless you are 18 years old, then it sounds just like stock.
