Question Anybody buy the white face gauges that Trustz sells on Ebay?

I need help. They just quit working tonight. I have taken the instrument cluster out and checked the fuse (it is ok). The factory lights still come on behind them but the blue lights for night time are not working.

Any suggestions??

Sorry I wasn't clearer with my first post.

Trustz is a guy on here that sells these gauges on Ebay.

They are white face that the numbers light up blue.

Here is the thread that I have a picture of them.

They are in post # 118 and 119.

I have them...

check your splice

and after that ensure you have a PROPER ground.

You also will have to make the holes around the speedo and tach gauge a little bigger or your needles will stick...

let me know if all this helps

I have them and they are bright as hell. Check all your connections and make sure you have everything wired correctly.

It is grounded to the bolt directly behind the cluster.

These have been in and working since before Christmas.

Have no idea why they just quit working tonight.

I am going to button it up for the night and look at it again tomorrow night.

Thanks for your help.

If you guys think of anything else or if you could alert Trustz to this I would appreciate any help you guys can give.

Thanks

I think I may have a bad wire or something?

After my last post last night I went out and tinkered with it some more.
When I played with the switch that changes them from blue to green they blinked on for a split second.

Must be the switch or a loose wire?

I re-checked the splice and it is okay. So I guess if I can't find the problem I will just have to take them out.

That sucks cause I really like them. Oh well.

I had my ground wire behind the cluster before and had problems... I moved the ground over to an all metal ground/bolt area behind the heater control and its been working since.

Good luck

Thanks, I will try that tonight but could you give me a little bit more description maybe in PM about it.

It took me like 2hrs to install when I first put them in, so if that describes how much of a novice I am I will need some help finding what you are describing.

Thanks

Well, last night I moved the ground and that still didn't solve it.

But when I looked at the wiring on the control switch (blue/green and intensity) the wire has some how broken loose so I took them out and will try to souder (sp) them back together over the weekend and test it out to see if that works.

As a side note where is everyone mounting the controls at anyway. Mine were just sitting in the secret spot on the left hand side just under the light controls.

Hi,

Check this after you make sure everything else is ok: hook up the gauge one by one( for example: hook the rpm only and see if work, than hook speedo only, and so on, because if one of the gauge is bad, than the whole kit will not work !) Let me know which one is bad and I will send you a replace one). Let me know !!

Aye trustz... I didnt know you were on here...

You have to make the holes on the speedo gauge and tach a little bigger....

I nearly ordered a new gauge cluster, because I thought mine was jacked up from the gauges... but some one told me that the reason none of the gauges werent working was because the holes needed to be trimmmed. I trimmed the tach...now it looks like doodoo...
but I guess with practice I got better, the speedo came out good.

Excellent gauges though! but just a little suggestion so no one else goes through the stress I did...

Excellent item, Excellent seller!

talentsearch301:Thanks a lot ! about the problem the center hole too small. just try to make sure the white face gauge are all the way down, I just got my 2006 evo IX and I also put my white face gauge on my car, I have three gauges that the neddle will NOT move freely, after I put tape on the eage of the white face gauges to make sure all gauge are all the way down. every gauge are move freely now,you need to make sure the center hole on the white face gauges is down as possible as you can, otherwise the hole will touch the neddle. I will make sure next shipment the gauges are going to have a bit bigger center hole. thanks
