besides, your missing the point. the point is that there are always going to be faster cars out there and their owners will giggle at your measly X amount of horsepower

I think you missed my point hugely. What I meant was that it is rice if the car has really loud exhausts which, from all observations, serves no purpose and the driver revs the engine unnecessarily high for no reason, it's rice. Yes, the car would be probably be slow, but that's really an aside. The main point is the noise as the sole effect of the mod.

While is is probaby published somewhere that the average age of civic owners are quite old. I'd be very surprised if the average age of evo owners are the same as modded civic owners.
Anyway, I think with age comes increased tendency for riciness. I base this on the different social circles. At a certain point in your life, a car with loud pipes and giant wings become less socailly acceptable, even if you still like it.
As for make and model, I guss you're right. But you'll have to try really quite hard to make a Porsche or an Aston Martin 'rice'.

OK, TO ME RICE MEANS "MADE IN JAPAN", AND GUESS WHAT????? THE CAR YOU BOUGHT WAS, IS DESIGNED IN JAPAN. THE TERM HAS BEEN LOOSLY THROWN AROUND TO MEAN ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED TERMS BUT WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT, THE EVO IS "RICE" STOCK FROM THE FACTORY. BTW, I OWN ONE AND LOVE IT EVERYDAY!!!!!!
