Better cup holders!
I traded in my 2004 VIII for a 2006 IX and I can't say enough about the cup holders! Way to go Mitsu!

Did they finally move them. I have an 03 and every straw scratches my arm when I shift. I hope they did change the design. I will have to take a look at the 06.

What's so different about them? I dont use my cupholders for cups, only for my cell phone and stuff.

They are round now as opposed to square-ish.

They made the change in 05. Those with 03-04's can swap in one from an 05-06 you will just lose the mounting location for the IC spray button.

yeah i have been working on buying an 05 cup holder and re mounting my ic switch.... or even a cup holder out of a lancer is bigger....

They still get in the way when you're trying to shift. I only use mine to hold my cell phone and coins.

Man, some people. I was just stating the difference, not which is better or anything else. Yes they changed in 05, they are on my 05 Evo which is why I knew the difference. Dont shoot me for providing a few facts....

haha I would, but I'm at work and my car is in the parking ramp across the street. I conveinently park my car at the top so I can see it throughout the day
