How fast does your exhaust and bumper around it get black?

Just wondering if everyone else's bumper and exhaust get black quick. not sure, but that may be due to the fact that the car runs so rich at the top end. my old car would do it when i was running rich.

Mine came from the factory that way. Sorry, lame I know. But I wanted to get it in before anyone else did.

To provide something close to useful, I'm quite sure your problem is the rich mixture up top. On the DSM ECUs, Mitsu ran the A/F mixture around 9.5:1 above 6000 RPM. I'm sure the same is being done with the EVO.

Either lean it out or get a really long exhaust tip I suppose.

All the exhaust that are out right now are for the E7 (including the stock) the RMR exhaust will stick out of the bumper properly to prevent the black mess. Just a little FYI...

Exhaust do not need to get CARB'ed... Headers do, but not exhaust. Our exhaust is 50 state Street Legal per sound regulations. Thats the important part. Becareful, most Japanese systems will not pass USA sound tests.

Could it potentially void the warranty?

Warranty is tricky... no it shouldn't, but stupid dealers will do stupid things. The only warrenty it will void is the warrenty on the stock exhaust you are removing. but who cares...

When i talked to Rhys Millen at the commercial shoot last week, he said they are trying to sell through mitsu dealerships.
