scratches on my knob

hey guys, i have the greddy counterweight shift knob and it's all scratched up right now. i have no idea how it got so bad, but do you guys have any ideas on how to polish it back up to a nice finish? my knob really needs to be polished!

my knob is wrapped in leather and somewhat dirty, so I can't help you with your knob.

You could always hire someone to polish your knob...The prices will probably vary on whether or not you want a slow, gentle polish, or if you want a speed job- both end up with the same result though- a finely polished knob.

Tell her to go easy with the teeth...

Mother's make some nice aluminium polish that you can try. Application with a cloth might get the scratches out but you might have to resort to a Dremel with a polishing bit.

hahaha i tried to make a serious thread here lol..my knob really needs to be polished lol..usually my knob has a mirror finish. but now it looks like some one took scoth guard pad and rubbed it all over.

Let me know if it works. I have the same knob as you and mine is all scratched up as well...that just happens when you use it a lot. If metal polish doesn't work, try lotion.
