Odyssey PC680 or PC680MJ?

Which one of these are most of the EVO owners using (who have an Odyssey battery of course)? I'm going to get one real soon and was wondering if the metal jacket is necesary for our cars. I live in San Antonio, TX, so I don't have to worry about the cold too much, just the heat. Any thoughts are appreciated.

GSC includes the metal jacket version with their mini battery kit. I don't know the real advantage/disadvantage of the metal jacket though.

The metal jacket is for heat protection. I think it's a good idea to be safe and get the PC680MJ. That's the one I bought. Make sure you get one with the screw on auto. terminals also.

Yeah, that's the one I'm leaning toward. Since I live in TX, the extra protection is probably worth it. I'll definitely get the one with the terminals.

I got the PC680MJ from Odyssey World on Ebay. It was about $74 with auto terminals. I've not installed it yet though, because I've not either made, or bought a battery tray for it yet.

I bought a battery tray off of Ebay (powdercoated black) made for this battery, and am going to fabricate a mount for it. I'll get pics up when I get it all done.

Honestly Ive mounted the 680mj on stock tray with zero issues. Not once does it get in the way or anything.
