get a lawyer and file an appeal, at the least they'll cut it in half. Trust me iv been threw this before.

Modified cars and san diego don't mix well. Cops and the court system are really, really hard out there. Honestly, I think you SOL, but good luck w/ a lawyer.

 

You shouldnt have been speeding in the first place. And if you hit a car it serves you right you could have killed somebody your lucky thats all you got.

 

everyone speeds... and accidents happen... can u tell me that you have never gone over the speed limit at all? in your whole entire life? i just went 10 mph over the limit going with the flow of traffic. sadly...its been raining the past few days and lots of debris from construction in the area flows downhill... i wasnt the only accident that week... but just because of my car this lady that wasnt even there, just bull****ted to the cops...

In san diego you only need 4 points to get your license revoked? In nyc its 12. Do you have a restricted license?

 

Your age has a large part to do with that also. Your considered to be on probation for your first 3 or 4 years of driving I believe. Correct me if I am wrong please.

Don't be hypocritical, I'm sure you've been speeding at some point in your driving career. If he was street racing, that's a different story.

The fact that he had an accident while speeding doesn't mean his speeding was any more or less wrong than any you've done.

I agree, usually when the punishment dosen't fit the stated crime, the whole story isn't being told. Cops take accident reconstruction classes and they just don't make stuff up. They're not going to risk their career to be an *** to some kid. I feel for you losing your licence but you should have gotten a lawyer from the start.

 

ok update... they made a mistake and i corrected this with the DMV...my liscence is not suspended but i do have 2 out of 4 points NEEDED to have my liscence revoked....

 

You know how to spell DMV, GOD. The thing is that the DMV always have say over the court. So if the court says your liscense is suspended for 3 month and the DMV says it suspend for a year then guess who wins the dmv. i think it would be the same vice versa if the court says you liscence is suspended for a year and the DMV says its for 3 month go with the DMV. so the thing is if you have a dispute about what the court trying to charge you with then get a lawyer is you have a dispute with the DMV don't even bother because you will go to hearings and most of the time they wont do a dawm thing.
