How old are you? The point system differs from someone who's 25 and anyone below that.

Some of the states do suspend the license of a first offender if the age of the offender is below a certain age.

When you get a reckless driving ticket, racing ticket and get an accident, they could charge you for vehicular homicide or aggrevated assault on you.

Specially in california where the laws tough on racers, it's understandable how from that one incident you could of gotten your license suspended for a whole year.

i know a couple of near stock eovs that have pulled on jmartinez's poorley built untuned evo on the street. not to mention this is the guy that hangs out the window of evos doing 100 on the highway in downtown chicago so he can take pictures of us during cruises. he would have been driving his evo, but i believe his excuse that day was his cel light was on because his ecutek wasn't tuned right so he was in limp mode and didn't want to drive with it. i sincerly apolgize if i am thinking of another idiot with a red evo in chicago that runs his mouth more then his car does.

damn dued that sucks. Get a copy of your driving record (MVR) and take it to the lawyer.... I think they will be able to lower the punishment little bit.

I have a classmate who got 7 points but it only shows 6 on his reord becuase he did a traffic school. Now judge ordered him to pay $700-$750 of fine and suspended license for 3 months. This tells me that 1 year is too much of a punishment for you. By the way, i live in cali too.

yeah you should get a lawyer.... i got in a situation where i was suppose to get my license supspended for a year also. so what i did was took a defensive driving class before my license was taken away and that took like 7 points off my license. the class was like $30-$40 then brought the certificate to the dmv and paid them a few hundred dollars then i got my license back that day. i paid the price but in the end i ended up keeping my license. i paid the extra money cause i took the certificate in after the dead line. but if i took the class after that date it would of been about $300+ to take it the pay the DMV a few hundred more.

a year later, after court...the speed contest was dropped but the reckless driving wasnt. the judge tells me my liscence will be suspended for around 3 months...i guess thats understandable since my record was clean before this.

today i get a letter from the dmv...stating i need 4 points to get my liscence revoked... and right now i have 2 because of what happened. then i get another letter, stating my liscence is suspender for a year! A ****ING YEAR!!!

this is my first offense and i believe this is unreasonable!!!! what are yours thoughts and experiences.... if this goes through i have to sell my car

do i talk to my lawyer about this?!?
Don't lie... you were drifting weren't you?!?
