Unhappy Problems after cam install

Hey guys,
I just had a local shop install my cams (264/272) and cam gears (Vishnu adj. set at -2,-2). The car was running great before I got these parts installed; however after the install the car is only hitting 12psi of boost. I called the guy who installed them, to ask him if any piping was removed (thinking it might just be that it wasn’t put back on) but all the piping was untouched.

At idle my vacuum is around 15-18psi. and at full throttle I’m peaking at 12psi.

My modifications are:
Helix turboback exhaust
Apex'i Intake
10.5 hotside
Xede (v.3)
264/272 HKS cams
Vishnu Cam gears (-2,-2)

check hoses that connect to the turbo nip and wastegate/ actuator. sounds like you are running on wastegate boost ie 12psi.

Yeah what he said, my hoses were messed by the dealer and i had the same issue, so if the dealer can screw it up, i dont doubt a shop would

I just checked that nipple, and the hose is on there securely.

My friend who gave me a ride to the shop drove behind me on the way back home, and he said that it smelled really bad. I told him I was running catless, and he said it smelled worse than ever. I think im goin to put on the stock airbox and see if that helps at all.

doesnt boost leak seem improbable (althogh im not saying it couldnt be) because the Xede which he is running controls the boost, unless the map he uploaded after the cam install messed with the boost control settings on his Xede. Xede=ebc

I put in a new controller a few weeks ago and I noticed the other day the it was turned up all the way and I was only getting about 17 psi. I put in the stiffer spring and all was well. What do you mean by the bov being uncrushed?

Camgears may be out of phase. The vishnu gears are strangely set to a white paint mark and not the timing mark for some reason. They likely got it wrong.
