Nice ET for sure!!!! Pretty much sucks that trap speed is so low! That makes 0-101 in about 13.5 seconds.....(roughly).....not that I would want to debate this again, but that makes it barely ahead of the S2000..... I think the Evo VII was trapping around 104mph.?
O well...damn fine ¼ mile ET for sure!
Now drink a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and a sensible dinner and you will be in the 13.2 range.

No no no...SCC and R&T have ringers! They are the only ones who can trap 101mph! Either that or everyone but people on the west coast who dyno their cars have ringers.
Nice job! Get those 60-fts down and you might look at some low 13s.

I did not care about reaction time since i'm learning to launch but they were at an embarrassing .8-.9 range. My only goal today was to have decent runs. On my M3 i was able to get .5-.6 consistenly to win an import jam which i am so proud of I just launch when i please this time instead of the 2nd light with i usually go for to get the .5 sec range.

101mph is what I would expect a 3265lb, 271hp car to trap. I hope you were not expecting 104mph.
A few very cheap mods will get that trap up there no problem.

Ya know our cars are performing pretty much as we guessed prior to the release relative to 1/4 mile ETs and traps irregardless of the dyno racing. If we had "responsive reading" of the pre-release posts, many DSMer's predicted mid 13's stock and mid 12's with intake, exhaust and a boost controller and that is what we are seeing on 93 octane pump gas. No surprise as the engine is still a 4G63 just flipped around 180 degrees with a turbo turning *** backwards. (apparently needed to work properly down-under in OZ).
If you peruse the web, the 180hp number is now "internet fact" unencumbered by the 91 octane qualifier. Maybe next time will release the car on the east coast first.
Speedlimit.........

dont u feel bad for abusing ur own car like that? i know im not gonna put my car on the track anymore. i was able to pull a 13.92 with a 2.0 60ft. and it was a harsh lauch. i can just imagine how u launched and how sport compact car and superstreet were luanching. in order to get low 13 sec passes.
good runs though!! at least i know the car can be that fast

What RPM are u launching at, also what style are you launching it with. My traditional AWD launch is rev between 2-3 grand before light turns green then on the second yellow nail the gas and dump the clutch when it hits 6000. Works everytime always pull under 1.9 60ft' and that was with my GSX eclipse and a stock clutch.
i'm timing the Evo this weds at Sacramento Raceway in California. Hopefully I return with nothing but 13 second passes. If i see a 14 second pass i'm selling the car and turning in my license. LOL

Is there a scale where you race at? I would like to see what the car weighed in at with you in it + your tools and the amount of gas etc

Com'on people don't drive like a lamborgini owner. The fastest cars are diven hard after 1st oil change. Oh yeah the 2.1 60ft was due to a 4-5rpm launch. Most launch are above 5k rpm. It's not really hard on the car when you do it just right with a little wheelspin.
I drive the way the car likes to be driven. I mean on a WRX i'd never shift with that kind of speed just because you hear a large bang under every shift due to the soft engine mounts. The evo however shift wonderful. Smooth like an automatic.
ON a warmer day i plan to launch my car harder to obtain the 1.7 60 ft. Advan tires suck under 60 degrees.

Im seeing some very good things from the Evo.. Has anyone dynoed these ? Seems the Numbers seem pretty low for the ET and Trap speeds. Even if it is AWD.
