Will my insurance rate go up?

I am going to trade my 2006 Scion Tc, in for a 2006 EVO IX. I was wanting to know if my insurance will increase very much. Did any of you have your insurance rate jump, when you purchased your EVO?

LOL it should. Go get a quote. I came from a Civic and when I got the Evo it rose about $700 per year.

Should get a insurance quote before you buy a car you never know it could get very expensive especially from a regular gar to a high performance car.

I went from an SRT-4 to an Evo and it went down by $180/yr. Not a huge drop by any means, but it was a decrease just the same. Call your agent and get a quote. That's why you pay them all that money.

Yes. it will skyrocket.

I went from an 04 STi to an 06 MR and Progressive wanted another $60/mo. ($966/6mo for the STi to $1344/6mo for the Evo).
I said screw that.

It said that it would go up $82 in a 6month period. So, that is only 164 dollars a year. I was happy to hear that. Next step, get a good price on a trade-in.
