best location for kill switch?
I moved my battery to the trunk. Where is the best place to put a kill switch, under the hood where the battery used to be, or in the trunk next to the battery?
I's my DD so don't really want the switch inside the car and certainly not on the exterior. Mainly I just want to avoid a potential hassel from tech inspections at HPDE events, autoX, etc.
Anyone know if there a "correct" location?
Thanks!

i think it would be smartest to have the kill switch inside the car. having it in a location that you might need to get to it asap and you cant could potentially be a big issue. there are several locations in-cabin that would work well such as the glove box, center console, and on the left side of the steering column in the "coin tray"

Well, I'm assuming you will be going to NE Dragway seeing your from Boston. If you go to the dragways website they have a run down of all the rules for the track, and it is stated the kill switch must be mounted on the exterior of the car clearly labled. It's on page 18 here for reference:

Varies by location, but the general purpose of a kill switch is so that paramedics / track officials / whoever can quickly and easily shut down all power to the car in case of an accident. Having the switch under the hood /trunk completely eliminates the option of using it if the car is upside-down

Just throw one up on the dash with a protective cover. Maybe one in the ash tray underneath so you can close the lid and hide it. But I guess if you are gonna hide it whats the point of having one?
