WTF.... Fuel Gauge is acting up
this is strange...
i just filled up my car after work. paid the normal amount, saw the normal amount go in.
i start my car back up, thinking nothing of anything, and drive home. look down at my gauge cluster about 2 miles down the road. it's only reading a little less than half full. wtf?
so i keep driving home... i live about 8 more miles away, and the entire trip from the gas station is between 10-14 minutes. by the time i reach home, it has slowly made its way to the 3/4 mark.
has this happened to anyone else? weird.

could be a few things, hole in the tank or one of the EGR vaccum hoses blew off, but I am not quite sure if I ever seen my gas level go down that much after blowing a EGR vaccum hose, check anyways..

My fuel guage started acting up as well. I normally fill up from the 3/4 full area and recently after a fill up, the gauge takes a good while to reach the full tank line. (about 20-30 minutes of driving) Previously it would always sky rocket to full tank after turning the key to the ON position. But now its having this problem.
Only mods on my car is an oil catch can. Do you guys think the oil catch can is going to give me problems if I take it in for service?
Any one else with similar problems and actual dignosis of what could be causing this problem? I know I should just take it in, but I'd first like to know what is causing this (bad gauge, floater, electrical etc....)
