I just put an S2000 on my Evo IX and it fits great! The only thing that bothers me is that it's a slightly different shade of black than the base (a little bit darker).

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...NTENNA-SPEAKER

$16 bucks for the s2k antenne at that site, there cheap for honda parts.

Just sharing to help all save a buck or two. I assume all you need is # 4

I've got IX and Perrin antenna does not fit flash. You must shorten the screw or fit a black washer.

I had the same problem. I wanted to switch my perrin antenna from my 05 evo to my 06 mr but for some reason the screw on the antenna was too short. I was thinking that maybe they change something on the 9 but then I got to thinking and went out and took a look at the antenna closer. I found out that the screw has a hole at the end to stick a small hex wrench and I turned it until enough of the screw was sticking out and it fit like a charm. In your case, I suggest screwing it tighter to make the screw go in, essentially make the screw smaller.

I have the perrin on my 05. Fitment is flawless. No problems at all and reception is still great.

mr2lover55,
I've tried to screw more in, but the screw is already at its maximum depth, so the only solution is a hacksaw.

thanks for the info guys! I was considering this upgrade also. Guess not, because I listen to the radio sometimes in the radio and I like the stations that are out of town more than in town, so a good antenna is important.

S2000 antenna has worked great for me. Bought it from the local Honda dealer here for $22.00.
