Subwoofer Amplifier Install location. Under passenger seat?

I've been looking to make an easily removable sub box for my 12" Boston Pro series subs and in that case, i was seriously contemplating mounting my SoundStream Reference 500s amplifier under the front passenger seat since i saw the infiniti amp is under the drivers seat. My current sub box is a rectangular seatled box built to spec and i wont mind running speaker cable from the front passenger seat over to the trunk just to get the subs bumping.

I've got 100sq feet of www.fatmat.com in order to get rid of all the un-needed vibrations all through out the car. I'm going the entire trunk and all door panels. Rear deck also. If i have some left over, probably the kick panels and probably the footwells in the front under the carpert.

Has anyone done this? It would save me a few bucks on 4 gauge power cables and less distance to route to power and RCA wires. Now i just gotta get a proper mounting bracket for the subs so they don't go flying anywhere.

Any help qould be greatly appreciated.

Right now i only have the stock Infiniti Amp under the drivers side and i think i'll take out my passenger recaro tomorrow to see what my mounting options are.

I've spend years doing this stuff but this car is completely new in many ways.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to yank out the right passenger seat in order to see where i can run the big 4ga power cable required the the amp. Its amall though and will more than fit under there.

I'm going to completly finish my sub installation tomorrow since i have 100sq ft of www.fatmat.com which is just as good as dynamat extreme series at 1/3 the cost.

I'm probably going to inject the sections of the rear deck where they metal skeleton is with minimal expanding foam in order to prevent any forther vibration. I'm also doing the entire trunk, all doors, and maybe some under paneling.

I was going to mount the brain for my Alpine IVA-D300 under the front passenger seat but did not like the way the cables had to be kinked to look nice also the chance of snow turned me of to this idea so I moved it to the spare tire well in front of the spare tire. I think I am going to mount My PPI amplifier in the trunk behind the panel opposite the washer resorvoir.

Like it was just posted, It's great to save space but beware of water, snow, and spilling something on the seat. Or even worse a water leak from a sunroof. Wouldn't reccomend it.

Also have to concern yourself with heat. Not much breathing room under that seat... as with any electronic device, heat is the enemy.
