A properly set up car with good, track-oriented alignment can rotate just as easily (and even more predictably). If you invest $2,000 in a good coilover suspension and actually find someone who knows how to properly choose appropriate spring rates, adjust damper valving, corner balance, and fine-tune the suspension, you'll totally eclipse the handling of a stock Evo VII MR. There's nothing magical about the stock MR suspension or S-AYC. Good old fashioned suspension tuning will get you much further.

A FQ-400 is not a 600 hp car basically... it's a 400 hp car that costs over $50,000
An Evo IX is not a 400 hp car.... but it can be for less than $2,000 in mods... so the grand total is about $36,000 more or less to get a "400 hp" Evo.
That's the point I'm trying to get across.

What kind of numbers does an FQ-400 (as they are sold) put down typically? That would be interesting to know. From that point we can better compare our mildly modified (comparatively) VIII/IX numbers. Anyone know?

I just could not imagine the FQ-400 build-up goes through all those mods and left the CAMs stock... Are they simply missing from that list? Seems like there would be some HKS 272s in there... Anyone?

I seem to recall the same about the VIII having forged rods and/or pistons. Seems like you could make an FQ-400 without building it up if it is only tuned to ~400 crank HP...

im sure the FQ400 Cams arent the same as the stock 4g63 Cams, but they arent listed cause they are for that car maybe.
does anyone have more information on the TURBO used? i want some statistics on it, trim and wheel sizes.
