Goodbye VIII, Hello IX

Goodbye VIII, Hello IX
Well, since I moved a little up north this past January to go to grad school, I have not had a chance to post in like forever.
Anyway, I finally got rid of my VIII and got an IX. I loved my VIII, but it had 88k miles on it, and it was time to put it out to pasture. Now that I'm back in school and working parttime near the campus, I drive about 5% of what I used to, hence the new car.
I'd post pictures, but its a boring *** stock IX. I sold my VIII with all the mods on it, so I'll be starting over completely.
Anyway, I doubt that you guys remember be because I didn't contribute very much, but I hope to read and post more now.
On to the IX, the biggest difference I can tell is that the gearing on the new car is better. Since its stock, it feels slow as dog ***** now. But the geraing is really nice. Fifth is especially nice on the interstate and accelerates well.

Smart choice on the IX. However, 5th is probably your worst gear, because it is responsible for taking you from 100 to 160, so it's quite a long gear, whereas 1-4 are all very short and peppy.

why would you say that about getting a good IX, bad luck or what?

The point is that the fifth is shorter than the VIII's fifth by a little, so when cruising on the Interstate and I plant the throttle to pass, its at a little bit nicer spot in the rev band. Not much mind you, but enough to notice.
I can't wait to modify this car. I'm looking to go Buschur exhaust, but my world is spinnin' on what I'm going to do for a reflash. The Dynoflash looks like a better deal than the Buschur flash, but my co-worker has an XEDE, and told me to check out the Vishnu flash. I think I'm just going to order the exhaust and decide later.
I sold my VIII privately. I commuted to Atlanta in it and drove the **** out of it for almost three years. I only got $16,800 with the mods, but it had a ton of rock chips and high mileage.
Thank you guys for replying!
