Since my 03 Evo that I bought last week is full of problems, the dealer will take it back if I buy the 05. Just looking to find ou if this is worth it or not. (YES I KNOW ABOUT KELLY BLUE BOOK)...

nope too much. Plus if they offered to take back the 03 due to issues than aren't they admitting at least partial fault for selling you a crap car? I'd at a min. check state lemon laws, but probably just contact an attorney and have him contact them. Good luck.

the vehicle was purchased as-is, but i believe the law still says it needs to be road-worthy, and it was far from road-worthy. I just dont wanna get tied up on a car that doesnt run right for months and have all kinds of lawyer fees...

What is a good price for that car from a dealership too btw. KBB said $30... I was like.. ummm NO

I would take them up on the offer to buy back the '03 and then take your money elsewhere. Why would you want to even deal with a dealership like that?

The thing is, they are refusing to take the car back unless I forfit my tax money to them and pay early termination fees, etc... so thy wana make me "happy" and instead of just saying "$#% You!" get me in the 05 and take a loss on the 03.

personally, i'd do some lemon law research and get them to buy the car back because it's crap. guess that's what happens when you go to a used car dealer "next to da hood"... :\

dealerships in NJ have to warranty their cars for 30 days, and in mass I know it's even longer than that....

I think that is a pretty good price for the EB 2005 from a dealership

first off you should have never bought a used evo with as-is no warrenty. your just asking for trouble. secound that seems alittle high when you can get a new one for 3k more. does this include ttl.

That seems like high miles on the 05, at least to me it does. My 04 has less miles than that, granted I do not drive my car during the winter.

I am sure there are state laws to protect the consumer from this sort of thing. If it has only been a week or so I bet you could return the car. Not sure what problems you are having with the car are they offering to fix everything?

26k for that is a decent deal...Problem is the IX, that killed us VIII owners because now nobody thinks the car is worth anything for some reason? The retail value on that car with that mileage would be probably like 28k....Everyone says that evo's hold there value very well but yet nobody thinks a used evo with decent low miles is worth anything mainly because there are some dealerships that are selling IX's at awesome prices, which dropped the VIII resale atleast in this forum...but fact is most dealerships on the east coast dont and wont sell that cheap on new IX's. I bout my 04 with 8k miles and ssl for a little more than that 05...They had 1 IX at the time and I looked at it, it was non-ssl and they wanted 33k for it.....I took the 04 because I wanted an evo, and it was in my price range...and i didnt want a rs, im getting older and i wanted the luxury items like sunroof and leather.....

So I think thats a good deal on an 05, aslong as it is in good condition....worth trying out, if not I would shoot for the lemon law stuff...you have a case, especially since the dealership already offered you a return on it....Either way it will workout
