Fog light question

I'm curious if anyone has put another set of HID's in the place of the foglights?? I would imagine that instead of using the high beams, having 2 sets of HID'swould be much brighter. I ask this question mainly because it seems that the stock HID's on the car are very bright, but don't go very far!! What bulbs fit in the foglights?

Also, does the litle orange lens for the turn signal pop right out if you take the headlight apart?? I tried to search for an answer to this but came up with nothing. Thanks!!

That would be pretty painful for oncoming traffic and probably illegal.

I wasn't planning on daily driving at night with my headlights HID and my foglights HID. I can only imagine how bright it would be to someone passing by. I was only asking because it seemed like an interesting idea for when you are traveling on a dark road at night, by yourself and want something a little clearer than high beams. I honestly don't think I would waste the money to do such a thing. I wan my headlights to help me see, not blind other people. I've already had someone flash at me cause they thought my brights were on when they were not!!

My main questions where what bulb fits in the fog light location ( I want to get something white or very lightblue to replace the yellowish colored stock one)? And does the orange lens easily pop out if you take the headlight apart? The taillights are clear and the headlights have orange. It doesn't match at all!!

I have HID fogs. I opted for the 3000k (yellow) ones as they are top notch for bad weather visibility. I have had a few friends complain about them when traveling behind them on bumpy roads but for the most part the fog lights are aimed pretty low so people aren't getting a full dose of the light output in their eyes.

Even still, I only use mine when I'm alone on a dark road, or in the rain/snow/fog. It's illegal to have any fog lights on in MA unless there's a reasonable weather condition for it.

anyhow, the yellow ones look great and perform exceptionally well.

I'd like to hear more about your conversion and what type of bulbs (brand) you used.

Its a McCulloch HID Kit. I purchased it from a board member (lookslikeanevo) who is a distributor for them and I was extremely happy with the service/shipping/price.

The install is a breeze, I'll be redoing it soon, though, mounting the ballasts inside or behind the front bumper.

I mean its understandable if your the only car on the road/no on-coming traffic and your infront of everyone else, but I'm sure that would near blind oncomers...

Don't go very far? Make sure you have it on 0, not on 4

HID fogs

and they aren't blinding. They're not bad at all, people assume your highbeams are on since the inner bulbs are lit but it isn't blinding.

I have it on the setting that points more straight ahead instead of down at the road.
