How Many Miles on your Evo? | [MERGED]
#1921
On my 2004 evo 8 I'm sitting at 126,000 miles and counting. Owned the car since 2006 and has been driven to say the least.
Only thing I've done is full exhaust short intake filter lowered. I don't baby her all the time but when it comes to playing around she gives me thrills every time.
How to make your evo last this long you ask, change that nasty oil every 3000 miles no matter what. Carbon build up from piston ring blow by kills the engine.

UPDATE: At 174,000 miles, Evo has so-so compression on 2 cylinders (120) but it still runs fine and the transmission is great. I just bought an '07 335i as a daily driver and the Evo will re-emerge in 9 to 12 months as a 600hp E85 street beast that I will drive 1 or 2 times a week

dang good to hear some people are making 200k or close to it at least, I hope I'll be able to get there myself as my car is not high power and well maintained, ~200k is my goal and I'll rebuild the engine and trans.
My 04 GSR SSL is at 100.8k miles now and it's in pretty good condition, but I need to work on some of the suspension bushings now, pretty much all the plastic and rubber is starting to deteriorate and I've already replaced most the important parts.
