How Many Miles on your Evo? | [MERGED]
#627
just hit 58k after a 1200 mile drive! The car felt great, took the steady climb in altitude pretty well!
Did throw a code, my FIRST EVER P0300 code, not bad for the mileage! I cant complain about only getting it once at 58000 miles!
Car drives well, and luckily i found a SINGLE gas station within 10 miles of my place that sells 93 octane up in altitude. It helped a lot, now i dont have to either turn down the boost, mix every 91 octane tank with 100 proportionately, or get the car retuned!
The only crazy thing about the long drive was i had just gotten the car lowered for the first time (at 57k) on hotchkis springs and then aligned. I had to have my eyes PEELED to the road, looking all over for bumps, potholes, too steep of inclines (overpasses), and road debris (had to have seen at least 50 semi tires sprawled across various lanes)
With the springs it drives SO much better, i LOVE the lower center of gravity! I wish i had gotten the sway bar also though!
I cant believe i waited so long to lower it! But in wisco the roads are sh|t!
I plan to just ride on the hotchkis until i blow out the stock struts (will happen inevitably, my mileage is getting up there), and then upgrade to coilovers or the MR suspension
