91 + octane boost
Does anyone know about what octane is created when you put an STP (or another brand) octane booster in with 91?
Yes with a full tank of gas
OR are they worthless
Thanks for any help

91.2 actually. it only raises it by 2 points.
The on;y Booster that adds real octane is Torco Accelerator 16 oz in 5 gallong of 91 would make it ~ 103 octane and 1 gallon of toulene would be in thw 108 range.

Octane boosters are hype. if they were good, everybody will be using it now.
Try to mix with paint thinners like toluene with mystery oil. race gas contains like 30% of toluene. toluene's octane level is 114.

The above article that referances a BB V-8 can't be used as a good referance. Our cars are totally different being turbo charged.
I've been testing a mix of 12 gallons 93 oct w/ 2 gal Toluene and have noticed a big improvement!
Today I mixed 8 gal of 100 oct Sunoco w/ 5 gal 93 and 1 gal of my remaining mix. I wanted to have a comparison. My car screams!!!! I'm running 24 psi and acceleration is incredible! No codes or any other issues. It cost me $66.00 for 1 tank and that wasn't with 100% racing fuel. It would cost me $84.00 a tank to run 100 oct. i can make the same equivelent for $60.00 using Toluene.
Here is a link that should help you figure it out:

PS.
Mixtures using 92 oct w/the following percentages of Toluene will result in the following ratio:
10%=94.2
20%=96.4
30%=98.6
I'm using 93 oct so I'll be 1 full point higher with each mix.

If you read the info in the link and elswhere, you will find that Toluene is a main component of gasoline already. I'm not sure what you mean by "being safe for a stock ECU"? Do you mean a stock Evo w/ out a flash? If so then yes it would be safe, you just can't take the full advantage of a flashed ECU.
Please be advised! don't take just my word but do some of your own research and you will have much more info to work off of. I'm just posting info based on what I have found through my own testing and evaluation. I highly recommend it based on my present research and experiance. I'm very pleased with the results and glad I can have an alternative of $60.. a tank compared to $84.00 a tank.
PS,
I buy my Toluene by the 5 gal container and use a funnel. I mix the Toluene in a 5 gal plastic fuel tank with some gas, then add it to my car. Just be sure to do this in a well ventilated area and wash your hands thuroughly afterwards. I've been using various solvents for years, so this is nothing new to me. Be sure to store Toluene or any other flamible item in a safe place!

This is the only octane booster i've ever seen that works. The military has been using it for years.

We ran 91 pump gas on my buddies heavily modded WRX on a dyno but added 3 ounces of this stuff to a half tank all while running his 100 octane race map. The car ran flawlessly and had the same power as using 100 octane VP.

It took about 35 mi of driving before I noticed a difference with the Toluene and my 1st batch was 0nly about 18%. I pay $7.00 a gal for toluene. 100 oct is now $6.00 a gal. I've experianced enough of a performance gain to make it worthwhile.
I looked on the "Aces1v" and couldn't find out what they use to boost octane. I never heard of if while in the Army (91-95) and I drove both diesel & gas vehicles that were hi-performance. If it actually worked in your friends car then I can't argue with that. I do know that Toluene has been safely used in gasoline for a very long time.
