is Crutchfield lying? Sub woofer issues

Pioneer DEH-P6800MP CD/MP3/WMA Player, $259.99.
Pioneer DEH-P6800MP CD/MP3/WMA Player
What you need to know:

* Use the brackets that came with your factory stereo to install your new receiver.
* An installation kit is not required to install your new receiver.
* Bypass your factory amps by running new speaker wires from your new receiver to each speaker.
* If the factory radio is replaced, the factory sub will no longer work.

y cant i use the sub with a new unit?

-you can use the stock mounting brackets, just screw on
-you dont need an install kit, but it makes it 100x easier
-if your factory speakers are connected to the stock amp, you need to run new speaker wire.
-the sub should work if you wire it corrects, i believe you'll need to connect an rca cable to the headunit.

There is an adapter sold at www.al-eds.com which allow full functionality of the aftermarket headunit and the stock infiniti amplifier.

I'm using one in my system.

you need the MITAH adapter, here is the link on ebay:

you also need this BHA7001 adapter if you don't want to cut your power wires:

Installing a cd player without a kit can be annoying and time consming. I would never run a cd player without an installation kit because it's just much more convenient to install and uninstall. And it's cleaner looking also.

You should be able to run the stock amp and sub. They will be compatable in some way.

On a side note, my brother and I fixed a cd player that was rigged into a mid 80's civic about 2 weeks ago. Having to strip all the wires and test each one to see what went where was really time consuming. We ended up having to run a completely different remote wire because the wires were so jacked up and their was never a remote wire installed. Skip the headache and make sure you have the harness for your cd player and any other installation kits required!!!

you don't need a installation kit, just the harnesses I already mentioned. The cd player will bolt into the stock mounting points very easily.
