New problems w/new IC pipes

hey people i was wondering if maybe someone on these forums can help me out. I just installed my new Injen IC pipes, and now my car is boostin 22psi....i dont have my mbc on so i have no clue why its holdin that much and also when i get on it and my boost is building up once its at full boost it takes a second or two before you can actually feel the power. I was thinking it was a boost leak at high rpms but can't find the leak anywhere i have checked all my piping for a leak and no luck. So now i'm thinking maybe its my BOV(hks ssqv VTA) that its not holding my boost, but i have no clue....if someone has had this problem please chime in with some advice...or if someone just knows what to do with this problem your help is very much appreciated. Thank to all for looking.

Mario

IC pipes = more air flow explanes why your car is boosting more now have in mind boost gages may read one thing but if you where to data log your car it would say another thing. It will hit full boost then the ecu take a second or 2 to read the engine load to lay the power to the ground if you get a flash you will elimate this problem. Your car is ok you can buy a mbc if you want bring it back down to read 20 but on a data log it car read from 16-20.

What do you mean it takes a second or two before you feel the power? What gear are you in also?

1st gear pulls....car accelerates rapidly then after you see the needle on the boost gauge sit on 22psi a second or two later the car seems like it had a kick in the *** and starts going like a bat outta hell!!

could be it....i was just sorta afraid...i was use to just punching it and it was full boost at 19 and no waiting for a kick in the ***. does it matter that im not really seeing any spiking now with the new pipes?

with the pipes it could be because of thier bigger dieameter that a little bit more turbo lag could be felt, and that is probably the 1-2 second lag then the nice kick in the rear. i would not worry abou it. but do get tuned soon so you can take advantage of IC pipes to thier fullest.

good luck
