I have to pull my aero book out of the closet, but I can say that at 100 mph, even a .006 can have an impact.
If I remember correct it is something like Force = Cd * Velocity ^2 * Frontal area.
Since our cars have such a large area, the Cd can have a meaningful impact at high speeds, since it is a percent of such a large number.
Chime in to correct me if I am wrong.

This is definitely an old paper and a very old repost (hehe I'm the repost! jack@$$ this time around).
The thing to take away from this paper is that you can get aerodynamic effects without the Evo wing. It just so happens that when you slap that baby on, the flow characteristics are such that you also get a reduction in the coefficient of lift. Meaning? The same vortex generator can actually generate a decrease in drag on a similarly shaped car that has a similar laminar flow boundary layer across its roof as the Evo. Take note Lancer owners.

very nice, that's how everything on this forum should be explained. Is it a huge benefit no, but it is a benefit. For the flow of the vehicle and the wing. Nice find

Here is the thing that makes me feel good about owning a mitsubishi, its the pictures of the engineers those guys remind me of how the Porsche engineers and test drivers looked(circa 1974). Its as if they were pulled stright out of a prison camp and forced to work under slave labor conditions with the fear of random execution.
