Official driving techniques thread. Post your tips or questions here!
I have been looking for advice on how to have the Evo do exactly what it was meant to do, but the few threads I have seen haven't been very informative. I am sure many people who just got their Evo, or possibly have had their Evo for a while, might still not be able to get the full potential out of their rides because they might have been used to driving a non-AWD car in the past. It is for that reason that I've decided to start a thread where people can post their advice and tips on when it comes to driving the Evo.
Some examples,
-ways to keep the clutch strong
-proper launching methods (disregarding life of the clutch)
-proper lighter launching methods (with clutch life in mind)
-toe-heel
etc. etc.
Please share your experience and advice!
This is also a thread for people to ask questions and hopefully find comprehensive answers!

like I said in the other thread
My launching technique,
After the first light, REV the engine until it hits the launch control ,then keep it floored.
Right before the green light, start pulling out the clutch until the friction or grab point.
When you see the green light pull the clutch out a little more ( do not dump the clutch ),
continue pulling it out until you don't need it anymore...
When you need to shift to second, give full clutch and pull into neutral, but keep about
3/4 throttle, release the clutch and push back in and shift to second with full throttle,
then release the clutch a little slower than you would to shift out of a gear, but not to slow,
just a split second slower.
For the rest of the gears I barely let my foot off the throttle to shift, some times not at all.
This has worked great for me, but I'm sure there are many different techniques, and I would do
allot of research and practice if I planed on drag racing all the time.
