Good god!! What is the point of a flash if you are running richer than stock!!! There is a guy on socalevo.net who put his car on the dyno with a mail-in-flash and it was also too rich.

Who did this flash? Was it custom or mail-in? Can you get the ECU back to stock and use the SAFC only?

I used a aem wideband on my previous car, it accomplished its purpose, but didn't do much when my motor blew due to an instantaneous boost spike caused by a cracked wg line.

It was a mail in flash and im not going say who did it. I didn't send it back because i didn't know if it would get flashed back correctly. I have been tuning on top of the flash and my car runs great. My point is if i didn't have a wideband i wouldn't have known my A/Fs where that bad..... Get a wideband it's somthing u will always use.

i have log many evo with flash to see what it does, from mail in flash to custom one. i totally agreed with you. they do run rich. My friend evo got flash by such and such on here. that thing average about 180-190 a tank. So I log his ****. Yep it was rich, mail in flash is the worst. Just when i thought flash suppose to save gas.

Just confrims my initial dislike of flashing your ECU. You mess with your ECU, it is hit and miss, and it is detected (at lleast on 05+) by the dealership. Get a piggyback, like ECU+, XEDE or SAFC.
