clutch/tranny noise. Please Help!

I tried posting this in engine/turbo/drivetrain but i didnt get any responses so im going to try my luck in evo general!

I have an exedy twin disk that was put in two weeks ago and everything was fine up until now. I was driving around yesterday and 1.2.3 gears were fine then i put it into 4th and it started to "clunk" (best way i can describe it) the clunk sounds like its coming from the left front of the car. You can feel it in the clutch pedal and slightly in the gear box but, i think i can feel in the gearbox because of vibration (at least i hope), anyhow it gets even worse when you put it into 5th. As soon as i push the clutch in the sound goes away. The car is undrivable on the highway. Again it only does it in 4th and 5th and if i down shift into 3rd from 4th it will clunk for a few seconds then go away. I also checked if the flywheel was loose but i couldnt wiggle it and eveything seemed tight. I know exedy makes noise because it a twin disk but this is not just a regular twin disk noise.

i dont know if this helps but here are my mods

Mods
intake
recric. Valve
Intercooler piping
turbo inlet pipe
272's cams
full turbo back
ecu+

Thanks for the help!

I also have a twin disc and the noise only happens at lower gears when going into 2nd but that noise is caused by the clutch not having springs. you need to check the alignment on the clutch..

check the alignment on the clutch? you sure about that? because if a clutch is not aligned properly a tranny will not slide in all the way because the shaft will not line up.

GOOD GOD!!!! stop driving your car. I have a exedy twin disc clutch in my evo 8, and mine started to do that clunck after 2 weeks too... YOU ARE LOW ON FLUID!!!!! jack up the car check your transmission fluid (75/90 gear lube) and check your transfer case (75/90 gear lube). i wasnt to low about 1/4 to 1/2 a quart but once i topped it off then the noise went away. aAccording to the local Mitsubishi dealer, you have to be completely full otherwise you can wear, grind and strip gears. and after a clutch is installed you must break it in for 500 miles and then recheck your fluid because it will go down (settle). Just check it and make sure you are not doing damage, the longer you drive it the more damage you can do.... like i said my noise went away after topping both of them off
