dunno if I wanna risk it, I guess thats why I never even think of using it.
I guess you haven't seen the videos of him driving through tight mountain hairpin roads. I'll see if I can find it.

Hey claudius, thanks for the info, but is it really easier to drift the viscous diffs than the acd and ayc diffs? Wouldnt having a rear wheel bias make it easier to carry the car (i.e. rear end) through the corner? just wondering... cause I just LOVE doing that, but I've only done that with RWD cars (i just bought a G35 coupe to do that in).

Maybe I'm missing something here, but short of a 70's Duckhams Q commercial why on earth would one want to hang the tail out to that degree - that's the slow way around a corner.

Surely the point is the quickest way through a turn ?

Thanks for the reply Claudius! My only question now is : isnt the tarmac setting 30:70? the gravel at 50:50 and the snow 70:30? thats why I always thought the acd would allow more oversteer. And I too havent driven both back to back, so this is all anecdotal heresay here...

And BTW, could you swap that Cusco 35/65 center diff for the one in the evo 8? Or is it just too difficult with the electronics?

To clarify the first question, wouldnt the tarmac setting give you a rear wheel bias? if so, does that ayc really mess it up?

Old thread, I know-but I just got done doing some donuts yesterday. I found that the open differential in the front helps twist the car around. Not good for the driveline I assume, but its fun. Drifting would necessitate 4 wheels breaking loose, so I dunno....gonna try it when I get a bit more power, and some #### tires to make it easier. G-Force KDWS'
