Did any of you read the part about the car costing $25k-$40k? New Skyline? BMW M5?
I don't think there's much out there that interests me in that price range besides the Evo. Maybe an STi just out of curiosity. Maybe a new GTO or an '03/'04 SVT Cobra. If an Evo is your frame of reference and you want peformance, your dollar doesn't go very far if you look elsewhere.

so since price wasn't mentioned as a boundary, and trying to keep things reasonable I would definately pick up a 01-03 M5, something in that market. Something with more luxury but still gets up and goes when I want it to.

lol.. so since I didn't say between $25k and $40k in my title, you guys ignored it?
go figure..
I was considering a Lotus Elise (used you can get one for about $38k now) but then the expensive cost of maintenance compared to the EVO has me scared away.
I'm actually thinking there isn't much else available (perhaps the mustang or used C5 'vette) in the performance point and price point.
I just cant' seem to find anything else in the price range that is as cheap to own and as fun at the track and I wanted to get insight from others if they had any.
BTW: ...had an Audi TT... the EVO is more fun IMHO
