The joys of mother nature
So last night we got the worst hail storm I have ever seen. Hail reached baseball size in my area. My buddy's MR got injured just as severely. Haven't seen the insurance quote yet. Thank God I have a $100 deductible. It's not going to be pretty.
These are just some of the hail stones I was able to pick up. The other hail was ripping through the cardboard box on my head.
Side shot of the hood. Several of these cracked the paint.
This is in the trim right above my driver's front window
Right in front of the sunroof
Another roof shot
What do you guys think? In all there are about 60-70 dents. Some on the fenders, doors, and even trim moulding around the windows.

Anyone want to guess what the estimate will be? A lot of the dents are on creases or too deep to do paintless dent repair. Plus I'm getting the estimate at the dealership.

Most of these cannot be removed via PDR but several little ones may be removed that way. Honestly there are so many of them that it would be more cost effective to just get new body panels. I contacted a PDR place that charges $50 for small dents and $65 for larger ones. Some of these dents are out of the range PDR can fix.

I live about a block north of the KU(University of Kansas) campus. The closest place to have gone was about 2 miles away to a parking garage. Problem was we were hit by a microburst. For people not in the know, it is basically a column of air 2.5 miles wide coming straight down and spreading every direction. They bring damaging wind and, in this case, massive hail. We were notified at 10:09 that a tornado was heading our way. 10:12 they cancelled the warning and said that major t-storms would arrive in about 3 minutes. Before I could even get on the patio I heard the hail hitting the railings. No warning.
