Evo Jack Point Plastic covers

I took off the factory front jack point plastic cover long time ago. Are you suppose to put it back in....I still have the screws and the plastic cover...But I jacked up my car quite often..(like at least once a week...so I didn't feel like put it back on) I was wondering what you guys do, with or without cover?!

Hmm, my guess is, it's on there for a reason, but because of your habit of jacking it up, i'd say leave them off.

In the how-to section someone made some instructions for making the plastic tray a little hatch so you can easily get to the jacking point and then lock the hatch back and be good to go.

You can take the cover off, modify it, or go with a side lift jack pad like seen here: http://69.20.111.53/index.asp?PageAc...dID=1792&MMP=1

Yeah. That was me. I got bored while changing my oil the first time on my IX and made a hatch in my under-engine cover panel or whatever its called.
