Since summer last year I've been hearing all sorts of noise from the front end and finally I got it narrowed down to the front axles. For the past 2 months I've tried to find replacement axles assembly for a 2003 Evo but no luck, everyone is out of stock for these parts. These are the websites that I tried so far:

Anyone else had a similar problem? Where can I get the axles?

 

I just had to buy a new front right axle last week. Only place I could get it was at www.mitsubishiparts.net Part #: MR580504 for the Right front axle

They don't stock them though. They have to order it from Mitsubishi in CA, have it shipped to them in WA (stupid Mitsu wont drop ship), then shipped to you. Expect to wait at least a week unless you pay an arm and a leg for shipping.

btw....dealerships can get it for you, but they charge $630 for it. I got it for around $480 from mitsubishiparts.net They're cheaper then what they have them listed for on their site.

If you call any of those places make sure to ask if they come with inner and outer CV's before you order. They're listed as just axle shafts, not axle assemblies.

 

I guess I am not lucky enough, I called all those places and 2 of them did not answer and the rest already sold the axles! Where did you find all these auto shops?

 

It looks like none of the big auto parts warehouses have these parts in stock. Suposely it's a dealer only part! If I find it somewhere else I'll post the details.

i got my rear axle from one of those junkyards for $100 shipped.

 

I finally found some used axle assemblies for both sides for $278. The website is www.partsjobber.com , I'll give you an update as soon as I get them and install them on the car.
