How are you long distance daily drivers dealing with gas prices?
I just wanted to get a feel for the impact that gas prices are having on those Evo owners who drive their cars daily, say 100 miles or more. Have you actually bought a fuel efficient beater? Do you just make room in your budget and/or stay out of boost? Or do you just shrug it off? Personally, I've stopped driving mine during the week (125 miles round trip 5 days/week). I drive my girlfriend's Neon to and from work now (34 mpg). I've calculated a savings of $5 per day, not to mention the wear and tear. But I sure miss driving my blue beast .

I drive my sister's jetta daily now but it only saves about $20 a week since i only drive 200 miles a week. We have it prety good compared to SUV drivers. They are paying around 60-80 for one full tank of gas. I have a hard time not laughing as i watch them painfully shelling out the cash when i fill up at teh gas station

I just hate how expensive it's gotten over $35 to fill her up. But i just try to stay out of Boost when I can. What sucks is that with the rise in gas I find it really suck now that summers coming I am also having to use the A/C, waste even more gas Ahhhhh
I do have a beater car that gets good gas mileage but it's a Hyundai so I hate to drive it. It's a piece 1990 3 door Excell.

I don't own an Evo, but I drive a ton each day to and from work. It pisses me off that the prices shot up so quickly, but I just don't do any extra driving if I can avoid it.

Yeah here in NorCal I pay about $3.30 for 91....and i drive about 110 miles a day to and from work...suckss haha I end up filling the tanks every three days....and man everytime i wash my car i see rock chips everywhere from the commute...my suggestion would be to get a beater or lease a cheap car haha...
