ever since i got my car back after the accident.. it been having some problems.. the other thing changed was i had the shop put in a tme 6.5 turbo instead of the stock turbo.. at first the front main seal was leakin oil but took it in and they said its fixed... so today i went out and started my car.. drove for about 200 feet... the car studdered in middle of acceleration and the check engine light came on... this happened couple days before too but the light didn't come on... any suggestions on whats going on? i believe i could be running into fuel cut since my car is untunned but i never have any problems before with same modifications... but this time just a slightly different turbo... please help..

btw.. the car drives fine and accelerates fine but the CEL is on so i want to know whats going on... its the weekend and shop is closed

 

You need to read the code and tell us what the code is so we have more of an idea whats wrong. Vacuum hose, EGR valve hose, Misfire. To many possibility's

 

Go to your local autozone or pepboys and have them pull the code.

 

engine looks fine but does it sound like fuel cut?

one more thing.. i have carbon fiber hood on but recently took the rain guard off with just mesh covering the opening.. it was rainning a little today... could that cause anything?

 

Honestly please go get the code read. This will tell you a lot on what could be wrong.

 

Only way your going to know what it is, is when you pull the code.

 

i just resetted my ECU and the CEL light went off...

 

if the problem is there still, the light will come back on. resetting the ecu only takes the light off for a few miles

 

Honestly man you ask for help and you wont do anything to let us help you. Now hopefully it was nothing and your light wont come back on but if it does go get the code read!

i just got bak from autozone... they read it and nothin shows up... i really don't know whats going on here.... i drove around more and no lights... i think i know what happened.. i was checkin the boost line for my EBC.. the hose is bend in a position that restricts vacumm through... i might have to get new hoses

 

if it comes back pull the code and then post. Asking for help without it is like asking the doctor to make you feel better without giving him any indication of whats wrong. Get it?
