Ya, that really sucks.. cause i know it would be cool to have a new IX, but to switch over all the mods from your evo, like turbo and everything would be a hassle... But from how you described the damage, could be pretty bad.
Pics please, i wanna see .

that's such dookie. In this one place on my way home from work the traffic goes from like 65 to a dead stop daily, and there are still accidents there about onces a week, and it's 4 lanes across in that section. People are stupid. When driving through that area I stay in either the right lane or the left so i can use the shoulder to avoid people behind me. I've had to dodge people from behind at least 10 times.

I am thankful that I wasn't seriously injured. I spent a few hours in the emergency room getting chest and hand x-rays, and a very painful shot of painkiller in my a$$. Just had some torn ligaments, bruised ribs, leg, and arm. Neck is stiff as hell this morning. I'm really impressed with how well the car held up. Luckily, my kids weren't with me.

If the car is totaled, I plan to take it back at salvage value. I'll need to remove close to $10K in parts. If anyone has any experience with an Evo's salvage value, I'd appreciate any suggestions. I have no idea if the salvage value is $1,000 or $10,000. I just know that they'll deduct it from what the insurance company will pay me.

I bet if you look into it - they probably arent. Hes probably been disqualified multiple times and is driving uninsured without a licence. Some people just dont make good decisions with their lives.

That's not bad. If I pieced out everything, including the drivetrain, it would definitely be worth it.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. What was his excuse for hitting you?

He didn't have an excuse. He was just driving way too fast, swerving from lane to lane. I've seen him driving the same way before. Found the car responsible, while I was taking pics of mine today. Can you blame him for wanting to drive this baby like a race car? Holy cowl induction.

Here's the result. Notice the nice fold in the rear quarter, below the gas cap. The quarter is now overlapping the edge of the rear door. Also buckled the pillar between the rear door and back window. The front looks worse, but the more serious damage is in the rear. The inside of the trunk floor is folded on the left side. The left quarter hit my rear tire hard enough to blow it out.
