stained tip?

hey i was looking at the turbo xs catback, i really like everything about it 3" and angled BUTT its not stained... i was wondering if anyone knew how to stain the titanium tip blue??? i suppose youd torch it?? any help appreciated thanks.

It is not stained it is heated to turn that color. Some crappy exhaust companies might anodize their's trying for that look but isn't the same.

I'm guessing they probably heat it and then quench it in oil to get the cobalt blue tip. It always seemed kind of dumb to me because I'm pretty sure it has to ruin the heat treating of the metal.

I do give them credit for how uniform they seem to be able to get the discoloration though. That can't be easy.

Soemone might suggest that "anodizing look" rattle can but, that would super tacky and look like sh*t in a short amount of time. My suggestion would be to leave it alone.
