What are the chances of getting borewash when running 9:1?

Is it only that rich under WOT or also say half open throttle?

I am having the same thing happen to me.

A friend of mine following me, saw a lot of black smoke coming out when I went from 80 to 120 mph. All I did was depress my gas paddle to maybe to 1/2 in 5 gear.

Will an SAFC fix the problem and add power?

Yes, it will. The new one (S-AFC2) seems to be more precise. IIRC you can change the air flow signal every 200 rpms instead of 1000.

Thanks Claudious,

What about reliability, would you expect any problems if one sets it between factory and maximum allowed? I don't want to have do any engine work on this car due to mods I may add to it.
