there are 2 ways of fixing the CEL issue... electrical and mechanical... which would you guys prefer?

yeah get a test pipe with a bung already welded on to it so you don't have to worry about the o2 censor

aw wow! I saw that before but didn't really read the description.. so that will be "direct" bolt on... sweet!!! I was considering the perrin cat delete that's why....

so what do you guys think.. this one with my HKS Ti Exhaust?

So I'll just buy this and that's it? bolt it on and I'm good to go? anything do I have to know prior to installint this and after installing this?

yeah thats what I have, you don't need to spend allot of money on a test pipe, they all do the same thing.

you will need an adjustable wrench to get the sensor off the cat and to put it on the test pipe.

I don't know if test pipes are interchangable with the 9, I would assume that they are.

and you should try not to double post use the edit button.

Ok sorry about the double post...

Well I need a test pipe that will for sure fit my EVO IX... I'm scared to order and find out it wouldn't fit... is that ultimate racings test pipe will guarantee fit my EVO IX? or it's prevoius evos? hmmm I should call lacershop.com for this...

It will fit fine. I have the 2.5" since I still have my stock downpipe and stock catback and it doesn't leak.

well my downpipe is stock.. and I have the HKS Ti Exhaust (catback).. can I still get the 3" test pipe? how's the sound? Thanks for all the infos.. I really appreciate it!!

does yout hks ti have a o2 bung? if it does than you can just place your 02 sensor there

I don't know the size of your catback, but if its 3", then get a 3" test pipe and then get a 3" downpipe. I don't know how it will sound though, but I will say that my exhaust still sounds like stock. Can't tell I have a test pipe unless you look under the car or stand behind my car and smell the fumes.
