American design gets a taste of some mitsubishi flavor

I don't know if any of you are into hot rods and the american muscle scene as well (i am a big fan of both jdm and domestic market), but this caught my eye. Its an example of American hot rodding meshed with JDM technology. Its a hot rod designed by Boyd Coddington running the 4g63 powerplant putting out 330whp on a galant automatic transmission. I thought it was pretty neat that a hot rodder would be original and daring enough to put a jdm engine in an old school hot rod. Thats very taboo in that community, and im sure he took a lot of slack for it.
I think that says alot about the 4g63 engine that mitsubishi runs in their old eclipses/evos/galants. For an established old school american hot rodder to put that engine in one of his hotrods says alot about the respect the engine has. He could have easily went with the sr20det engine, or a supra engine for that matter if he wanted, but instead went with the 4g63.
Just thought id share this interesting find with you guys...hopefully cars like this can help break the closeminded attitude of people in the car industry that believe one country's engineering is superior to the others.

damn, thats fresh! It kinda reminds me of my own dream project..... taking a TT Supra engine, driveline, interior, etc, and stuffing it into a 70 Camaro SS.
Hopefully it'll happen one day
