Guys this is just a misunderstanding. He's probably reading the price he paid including the finance charges. Like you pay 34,000 and then they charge you like $10,000 for financing it. So by the time he pays it off, he'll have paid back 47,000 is probably what he means. He just has a high interest rate or its the back end on the deal from a trade-in. Like say he had a corvette(hypothetically) and owed 17,000 on it, and he paid $30,000 for a car, he'd finance $47,000. That's all it is.
