anyone?!?!
The more you can advance timing without knock/detonating = the more power you will make.
On my datalogging software, when knock is detected you can see the graphs where the higher the knock climbs inversly the timing is lower (retareded).

When you headache, I going slightly mad...

Holy cow, that's good stuff. Where did this map come from? It looks very accurate from my knowledge of "standard" Mitsu 4g63 fuel maps. Almost looks like it came straight out of the ECU? The numbers on the y-axis correspond to airflow units, right?

and draw use Excel.
About EVO8's original data, I've get from Wing's ECU
with my developed S/W and H/W.
My S/W and H/W can read, flash EVO's ECU.
and finish to analysis data.
That's why I can draw graph. but it based data only.
Lamda value easy to change by other customizing stuff like
sucktion kit, Exhaust system....
About graph. it's y-axis is Manifold Absolute Pressure.
not AFS. I've called it Target A/F map.
but case of EVO8 have another map relate AFS signal.
I hope to be help to you.

BTW - my idel sucks also !
So how do you like the emanage ? Does it "hold " a tune - or can the ecu re-correct itself after you make your settings like with the S-AFC? Thanks

increase gas exchange efficiency and combustion efficiency...
so, changed Lamda value. that's wht i've add fuel.
S-AFC's basic fuction is fake Air Flow Sensor signal.
E-manager is same when he reduce fuel.
but he doing add fuel, e-manager control injector directly.
my guess that's why hard to recover stock ECU's value.

now, Kevin, I might be stupid... but what does timing advance and retard have to do with tunning in regards to high lift cam profiles.. do you advance or retard the timing if you have 260 camshaft with say .45 lift?!?! I know that it also have to do with the gas because 93 have better compression ratio with 91 etc...so high octane = retard timing more power vs. lower octane = timing advance to prevent knock less power?!?! thanks man....

I try to say easy
Octane value mean is basicaly same to Prevent Knocking Value.
When you use high octane value gas.
you can advance ignition time.
most of stock engine, do advance time, can increase more
torque. cause we get mre combustion pressure.
use high octane gas
= can advance Ign. timming
= can increase more fuel and air in same combustion camber
(when increase fuel and air, need more time to finish combustion)
= can use more boost (boost means force increase air)
= can make more power from same engine

so if you have high lift cam shaft, you have high lift valves, which have over lab between the intake and exhaust stroke?!? which you can have more air and gas in each intake stroke = more power?!? right?! I think I am getting there....
so high lift cam can give you more power in each stroke.... I remember you told me about 30whp increase with cam stuffss w/ proper ecu tunning...
Thanks!! Kev.. you really know your stuffs...
