HID 4300K or 6000K???

wouldnt putting aftermarket HID create alot of glare to on-coming traffic? How much are the oem hid?

I had both in my evo 9. I can tell you that 4300k looks kinda greenish/yellowish in the evo 9 projector. The 6k color rocks and the brightness is very similar. DO NOT get 4300 if you have an evo 9.

I've got 6000k sylvania Osram Xenarc bulbs in my IX. They're far superior to the stock bulbs and illuminate the road much better. I can take a shot tonight if you want.

may be a dumb question but i was on xeondepot and saw there hid kits and i thought that all u needed was to change the bulbs cause evos come stock with hids so can someone answer my dumb question? do u need those hid kits or can u just change out the bulbs??? ( what i thought)

SilverMRGrl it says you have a 05 EVO MR. So you're headlights should already have the 4300K HID bulbs, so all you would have to do is change the bulb to 6000K etc...
The 05 and 06 models non MR and non SSL have halogen projector housing so we would need the kit. I think thats how it is. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

So my question is, those without the HID housing. How are the "kits" in the halogen projector housing? Is it worth the upgrade?

thanks for the info thats what i thought about the hids, i want to get something like 6000k
