Keep the Evo or get Porsche GT3?

Keep the Evo or get Porsche GT3?
The time has come to decide if I am going to keep the Evo or part it out and order a GT3 for winter delivery.
I am about to send the car down to Buschur and have a stroker motor, AEM, and the 3065 put on along with some variation of the Robi Spec suspension. Problem is my wife REALLY HATES THE EVO. She wants me to sell the Evo and order the GT3.
Problem is I really love the Evo, its fast as hell and nobody notices my white RS, which is nice. The GT3 would make a great weekend track car and with the PCCB brakes be pretty reliable to run on the weekends. I know the evo can be made to run faster then the GT3 but I have driven a few Porsche's (993tt, GT3, 996tt) and they are very fun cars to track.
One more twist is the Twin Turbo is also an option over the GT3, the wife has said...whatever you want as long as you get rid of the Evo!
Either car is a sunny day/weekend car.

if she hates the evo shes going to hate the ride in a gt3 just as much maybe even more so. for what its worth, given the option it wouldnt even phase me to get rid of the evo for a porsche. my mother has an 06 911s, and ive been in the old gt2 and gt3 i can only imagine how much sweeter the new one is. go with the porsche

The new GT3 is an awesome car, but you know what they say about Porsche drivers, right?

Yes I do And that is part of the reason for not wanting the GT3. The wife really wants the Evo gone, so keeping it AND getting the GT3 is not an option. My wife has always loved 911's and feels the Evo is about as good looking as a Pacer
I can keep the Evo and not get the GT3 but am I being insane for not wanting the GT3?

personally I don't really think there is much of a decision! It's a porsche, and the evo is a mitsubishi! Sure our cars can be faster and all that good stuff, but unless you maybe want to rally someday i'd say bye bye to the evo myself!

Wow. Is this even a serious question?
I love Evos. I've watched rally racing for as long as I remember and have grown up with a passion for rally bred cars. Tommi Makinen was one of my heroes growing up along with people like Didier Auriol, Juha Kankkunen, Stig Blomqvist, Carlos Sainz, etc. The walls in my house are filled with pictures and signed photos of WRC drivers, quite a few of them ex-Evo drivers. Yeah, I love the Evo.
However, I'd trade the Evo for a GT3 in a heartbeat. Why? I dunno; there's just something about the 911. It's obviously a super car in regards to performance but it has excellent racing heritage and a timeless design. I have no pictures of Porsches on my walls but, I regret to admit, the Evo would be gone in a New York minute if I could afford the GT3.
[edit] Does anyone remember the Porsche commercial where the kid goes to the dealership and talks to the salesguy who gives him his business card and the kid says he'll be back? It's like that. I've wanted a 911 since the first time I ever saw one. When it comes time to get rid of the 8 I'm stuck between a 993 (best looking 911 IMHO) and a X .
